JRT Governance
The JRT is governed by an International Executive Committee (IEC)
comprised of up to five representatives, selected from JRT chapters around the
world. The IEC is selected at the
JRT annual meeting in Caux, Switzerland and serves for three years. IEC members
should have attended at least one JRT annual or interim meeting and be active in
their local chapter.
The responsibilities of the IEC include:
- Coordinating
annual and interim conferences;
- Preparing
conference and annual reports;
- Preparing
and updating of a global three-year plan;
- Liaising
with Caux Initiatives for Business and Initiatives for Change;
- Ensuring
that chapter guidelines are being met;
- Promoting
the JRT internationally;
- Managing
the JRT global website; and
- Serving
as a resource for country chapters.
JRT Chapters
JRT Chapters provide an opportunity for individuals to
further the purposes of the JRT within their local environment.
Chapters operate autonomously, but should have the following
minimum structure:
- An
executive committee composed of at least three people who are committed to
the mission and purposes of the JRT, one of whom should have attended a JRT
annual or interim meeting;
- A
commitment to meet at least four times per year;
- The
production of an annual report, including income, expenses, and activities;
and
- Participation,
to the extent possible, in the JRT annual and interim meetings.
